Po’ Boys
A po’ boy is a traditional` submarine sandwich of Louisiana.
During the New Orleans streetcar strike of 1929, a local restaurant owner distributed sandwiches among the striking workers for free. The restaurant staff affectionately named the strikers, poor boys and the sandwich took over the name. Hence the Po’ Boy.
All our Po’ Boys are served on a crispy baguette with tomato, onions, pickles and lettuce.
